Congratulations to the North Force Sports Camp graduates!

Congratulations to the North Force Sports Camp campers who graduated from the monthlong program on June 29th. North Force is a sports day camp for children with mental, developmental and physical disabilities, that was organized by Sports Force Parks and North Point Educational Center. Each week the campers learned the fundamentals of a different sport with the help of a special education PE teacher, an occupational therapist and a physical therapist. The kids worked incredibly hard and everyone at Sports Force Parks is so proud of them! A big thank you to the volunteers who helped the campers do their very best each week. Pictures from graduation day can be found on Sports Force Parks' Facebook page here.

Providing programming for children with special needs is incredibly important to Sports Force Parks. The park has previously hosted kickball and t-ball leagues on its ADA-accessible field and will be hosting free play days on Mondays and Wednesdays in July from 9:00 - 10:30 AM for children with special needs and their families. These days will consist of yard games and other activities on its ADA-accessible field. The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities honored Sports Force Parks in April with recognition for the park's mission to be inclusive towards children with developmental disabilities.
