Bay Area Soccer League (Spring & Fall):

The Bay Area Soccer League (BASL) is a recreational soccer league dedicated to the task of providing the youth of Erie County with the opportunity to participate in recreational soccer by teaching and demonstrating soccer skills, sportsmanship, honesty, respect, fair play and the ideal. Our efforts are directed towards the following goals:

  1. We strive to develop players of all ages (3 through 14) and at all levels of play (recreational and travel) by building and improving their skills, confidence, and a sense of teamwork.
  2. We are committed to the development of male and female soccer players, at the highest level, through quality coaching, experienced refereeing, player development programs and instructional camps.
  3. To provide a safe environment where our youth can not only excel in their soccer skills, but also learn the importance of physical fitness in their lives.

We promote and encourage high standards of sportsmanship and fair play.

Firelands Health Youth Baseball League by Perkins Township

In 2017, the Perkins Township Trustees voted to organize and help operate youth baseball in Perkins Township. The vote created a Non-binding commission that will work with the Township to create and offer suggestions to the Trustees about baseball operations. The Trustees have agreed to help offset costs to play games at Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Center and to provide a world class baseball experience for the youth of Perkins Township and the surrounding area. Firelands’ generous donation allows the league to operate and offset costs for the over 400 (+) youth that participate yearly in the league. We’d like to give a special thank you to Firelands Health and their commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles through youth sports. In 2022, Perkins Township and Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center entered into a 5 year agreement that allows the Firelands Health Youth Baseball Leagues to be played at Sports Force Parks. Sports Force allows Perkins Township use of the parks three times a week in the May-June months. This partnership allows for Perkins youth baseball to use the facility for Perkins Township run leagues and travel teams from ages 4U-14U. Sports Force Parks provides world class facilities and amenities for baseball and softball.
