Pitch Hit & Run™ is returning to Sports Force Parks. This youth event is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball®. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills.
This local based competition allows athletes 6 attempts at throwing for distance, 3 swings at attempting to hit for distance, and one attempt at the running the allotted distance. Total time spent competing will be under 5 minutes. This event is not a showcase or a tournament, rather it is a free individualized community focused initiative.
Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 (birthday as of July 7, 2021) and have the chance to advance through three levels of competition, including Team Championships and the Finals during MLB® All-Star Week™. All participants should register online and plan to bring age verification (copy/picture of birth certificate or similar) to the competition. For questions concerning the competition, please contact Mitch Sweet via email at msweet@sportsforceparks.com.
Event is scheduled to start at 11 AM.
